Work Experience
I would like to connect it to the words of Pope Francis who said in his Apostolic Letter in 2014 on the occasion of the Year of Consecrated Life, “Look at the past with gratitude, Live the present with passion and Embrace the future with hope.”
I am delighted at the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Pak Women, the organization with which I have an association as a member since 1998 and as Chairperson since 2012. Today it brings back the fond memories of 25 years when I had the privilege and pleasure to serve Pak Women initially as a member and volunteer and now of course as the Chairperson.
When we honor the past, and embrace the future; then the present becomes a celebration.
It has been a very meaningful journey for Pak Women ever since it was established in 1998. Its contributions to the cause of empowerment and development of women, children, persons with disabilities, youth, minorities and transgender is remarkable and worth celebration.
Twenty-ve years back, we know the society was very different, and it was really a challenge to start from conservative Pashtun society, but as we respect our culture, by following the values the young girls continue their work and made it possible the growth of organization to the national level.
It was an honor to join the Board of Director of Pak Women in 2012. The organization has an impeccable reputation and was continuously growing and adapting to address the community needs. I have now been on the board for more than 12 years and the commitment to quality and innovative service delivery demonstrated by the many people of Pak Women does not waver. I am thankful to be part of Pak Women, and I am so very proud to be at the helm as we join together to embark on the next 25 years.

Samiullah is a resident of district Orakzai and a differently-abled person who completed his graduation last year. The training gave Samiullah the motivation to raise awareness of inclusive NIC and Voter education in his district. He developed a strong sense of responsibility after attending the training and decided to register an organization named “Orakzai Special Persons Organization.” This organization would work for the rights of persons with disabilities, as well as raise awareness of the benefits provided by the Government of Pakistan for persons with disabilities.
